Edge Computing Operations
Centralised remote management of your distributed edge estate, with consistent monitoring, lifecycle controls, and incident response across every location.
Overview
Distributed edge environments are operationally demanding. Each site needs monitoring, configuration management, and incident response, but maintaining local operational support at every location is costly and often impractical. Without centralised management, edge sites drift from the standards applied to the core environment, creating coverage gaps and inconsistent behaviour that are difficult to detect and harder to resolve.
Seaberry's Edge Computing Operations service provides centralised remote management of your distributed edge estate, bringing every site under a consistent operational model. Edge Computing Operations delivers monitoring, lifecycle management, and configuration standards across all edge locations remotely. When something goes wrong at a site, Seaberry responds and resolves where possible without requiring on-site intervention.
Distributed does not mean European. Seaberry manages edge sites wherever your production is, including plants and offices in Asia, Africa and the Americas, under one operating model and one operational contact.
Where physical access is needed, Seaberry coordinates with your local team to schedule and support the work. Physical intervention, including hardware replacement and cabling, remains the customer's responsibility.
The service works closely with the Network Operations Center for connectivity and network oversight across edge sites, and with Platform & Operations for infrastructure-related changes and follow-up. Edge sites are part of the same integrated operational model as your core environment.

Centralised remote monitoring
Seaberry monitors all edge sites continuously from a centralised operations model, with the same alerting and response thresholds applied across every location.
Lifecycle management
Edge device and software lifecycle is tracked and managed within the operational model, reducing the risk of unplanned failures due to end-of-life components or missed updates.
Remote incident response
When something goes wrong at an edge site, Seaberry responds and resolves remotely where possible. On-site coordination is managed by Seaberry where physical access is required.
On-site coordination support
Where physical intervention is needed, Seaberry coordinates with your local team, providing remote guidance and documentation to support on-site work.
Full-estate visibility, reviewed monthly
Site health, incident activity, configuration status and lifecycle observations across the full edge estate are visible continuously, and reviewed together on a fixed cadence.
Standards applied at every site
Edge sites are held to the same documented standard as the core: configuration baselines from CIS, and, where a site runs industrial control systems, segmentation and access requirements from IEC 62443. Drift from the baseline is detected and corrected, and every site's status is evidenced in the same record.
FAQ
Seaberry manages the operational and compliance risk of cloud infrastructure for European companies, across networking, security, platform operations, and governance, continuously and with fullaccountability.
Seaberry monitors all edge sites continuously from a centralised operations model, with the same alerting and response thresholds applied across every location.
Edge Computing Operations brings distributed edge sites into one centralised operational model, with one report and one operational contact.
Rather than requiring your team to monitor and track each location individually, Seaberry maintains visibility across the full edge estate and manages operational follow-up centrally.
Seaberry owns everything within the agreed scope that can be managed remotely. When an issue is detected, the Edge Computing Operations team investigates and resolves it remotely wherever possible.
This includes monitoring, configuration management, operational response, and coordination with other Seaberry service functions where required.
Physical intervention remains the responsibility of the customer’s local team. When on-site access is required, Seaberry coordinates and supports the work, providing the necessary guidance and operational context.
The boundary between Seaberry’s remote responsibilities and the customer’s on-site responsibilities is documented during onboarding and maintained throughout the engagement.
